My HTC M8S has water damage...what should I do?

Firstly, here’s what you shouldn’t do, despite popular opinion! Don’t put your HTC M8S in rice, in the airing cupboard or on a radiator. The rice doesn’t do anything to help, and the dry heat from the other two options will cause corrosion.

What you should do is retrieve your phone from the washing up bowl or toilet, turn it off and contact us immediately. The quicker you get your water damaged HTC M8S to us, the more chance there is of a repair.

Check there’s nothing blocking the lens. (This might sound simple but it happens!) Use a lint-free cloth to clean it. If your photos are still blurry, resort to IT Support 101 and turn your HTC M8S off and on again.
