The 5 Worst Things About iOS 8!

If you have an iPhone, it's likely that you would have downloaded the new iOS 8 software update recently. Although this was made out to be one of the best updates to the iOS software to date, it's proven to of caused many users extensive problems and issues since is became available.

There may be more issues that you guys have found, but here are the top 5 worst issues that I have experienced since downloading iOS 8.

1. It drains your battery faster -

In every update that Apple do, you expect there to be significant improvements from its predecessor and battery life has always been one on those improvements we all want to see! Unfortunately, since updating the software, the battery life appears to drain alot quicker than usual, sometimes by a couple of hours!

However, there is a way you can check and monitor your battery usage if you go to Settings > General > Usage > Battery usage. This at least gives you a way of closing down apps such as Facebook, that can take up to 40 or 50% of your battery usage.

2. Quick type keyboard

The new keyboard feature, with built in predictive text was one that we were all looking forward to. Unfortunately, although some users do like the feature, others find it very confusing and a bit of distraction while you are trying to text. One of the main reasons for this is that although the predictions are there to help you, sometimes they suggest words that don't make sense or in some cases don't even exist.

Luckily, there are some third party keyboard apps such as Swype, SwiftKey and Fleksy that you are also able to download and apply to your keyboard.

3. Unavailable Health-Kit

Health-kit was highly anticipated and was set to be a game changer for Apple, but currently, no one knows what it is and how to even use it. According to sources, Apple are still awaiting developers to create and connect there apps to it's main hub, however these new health connected apps are not available on the App store just yet and it could be weeks or even months until they are.

Health-kit is currently a dormant app taking up space on your home screen, lets hope soon it's given its time to shine!

4. Apps keep crashing

When you're on Facebook writing a status or Twitter posting a tweet, whats the one thing that frustrates you the most? Yes, the app crashes and you have to restart it! It can be one of, if not THEE most annoying things to happen on your Smartphone.

For some reason, iOS 8 has a nasty habit of crashing your apps while you're using them and after doing research, it seems alot of users are experiencing the same issue! Hopefully, with the new update this problem will be resolved!

5. Camera roll removal

One of the main things people were worried about when updating to iOS 8 from iOS 7 was losing their data, mainly photos and videos. Apple didn't help by mysteriously removing the 'Camera Roll' album which caused initial widespread panic but in most cases, your photos and data should still be there, it's just a bit more difficult to locate them! Cheers Apple!

Do you know of any other major issues with iOS 8? What problems are you experiencing and how have you managed to put them right? We'd love to know!

Thanks, The Team!
