iOS 8 is available to download from tomorrow and is set to be one of the biggest software updates from Apple in years! However, if you want to be best prepared to download the new software as quick as possible, theres a few things you can do to really speed the process up.
Here's the checklist:
1: Check iOS 8 Hardware Compatibility:
iOS 8 is compatible with the following devices:
iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C
iPad 2, iPad 3, iPad 4, iPad Air, iPad Mini, iPad Mini Retina
iPod Touch 5th generation
2: Learn About iOS 8
Learn everything you can about iOS 8 before upgrading. You may upgrade to the new iOS only to find that you hate it. The new software may change the way you use your iPhone and in alot of cases some users do prefer to stick with the older iOS versions. 3: Delete Unused Apps:
There are bound to be apps that you may not use and/or take up way to much storage on your iPhone. Have a quick scan through your apps and delete any unused ones.
4: Update Apps:
Deleted the apps you don’t use anymore, fire up the App Store and update what you have left.
5: Back Up Your iPhone / iPad / iPod Touch:
Finally, back up your iOS device or devices and all of it’s settings and customisations to your iCloud or hard drive. This is easy, and you can do it through iTunes or iCloud, or ideally, back up to both.
So, now you'll be just that little more prepared for the update. Chance's are, with so many users attempting to download the software at the same time, it may take longer than expected but it should be worth the wait.
